More About Phillip Craig Garrido

Garrido’s name is infamous due to the kidnapping and captivity of Jaycee Lee Dugard. He and his wife held her captive for 18 years in a backyard compound they constructed. During her captivity, Jaycee gave birth to two daughters fathered by Garrido. The compound was discovered by law enforcement in 2009, and Garrido was sentenced to 431 years to life in prison for his crimes. His wife, Nancy, was sentenced to 36 years to life in prison.

Garrido’s actions are horrific and inhumane. His kidnapping and imprisonment of Jaycee Lee Dugard shocked the world, and his name will forever be associated with one of the most appalling crimes in American history.
